Education for an Open Architecture Conference
In October, 2008, the College of Architecture will host an international conference/workshop focused on questions of educating a new generation of architects for the challenges of an adaptable, regenerative building stock that is rooted in its context. The three day conference, organized jointly by two international networks (CIB W104 Open Building Implementation and CIB W110 Informal Settlements and Low Cost Housing) will have student workshops and round table discussions, keynote speakers from Europe, UC Berkeley, Puerto Rico and Boston, and will exhibit the results of an international student design competition.
