Our teaching major in life sciences* program prepares you to teach at the middle school level (grades 5 to 8) as a science generalist with a life science concentration or at the high school level (grades 9 to 12) as a science specialist teacher in four years.
You may consider adding grade-level expertise in the other option to make yourself more marketable:
- To add a high school option to the middle school course work, eight additional hours are required.
- To add a middle school option to the high school course work, 10 additional hours are required.
