Counseling Center

Welcome To the Burris Counseling Center:

The Counseling Center is located on the first floor of Burris, in room 112. The counselors offer guidance and support to students in kindergarten through grade 12. Counselors are available to work with students individually, in small groups, and in the classroom. The list of student services varies with the different grade levels, but the Counseling Center is here for all students with any questions or concerns, or who need information about guidance or counseling issues.

Counseling NEWS

Students who have requested Indiana Academy classes for Fall 2009 will need to meet with Mrs. Maugherman or Mrs. Flannery between August 3 and August 6. The Counseling Center will be closed on Friday, August 7, 2009. Academy classes begin on Monday, August 10. Burris students are expected to attend Academy classes even though Burris classes have not begun.

Students wishing to finalize their schedules should meet with Mrs. Maugherman or Mrs. Flannery beginning August 3.

Burris CEEB code is 152470. This code is frequently requested on college applications and must be provided upon registration for SAT or ACT so that test scores will be sent to Burris

Burris students have the option to have their high school transcript sent electronically to Indiana colleges and universities at no cost. Electronic transcripts can be sent to schools in other states (a fee is charged). Paper copies of transcripts can still be sent through regular mail at no cost and can be requested through the guidance counselor or the main office. Graduates of Burris Laboratory School, prior to 2006, may also use this link to request transcripts. However, transcripts will be mailed to the specified school
