Interested in pursuing a master's degree in architecture, landscape architecture, urban and regional planning, or historic preservation at Ball State University? The following information and related links will help you apply for admission to these programs.
General Guidelines
All applicants for graduate programs at Ball State must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university. Admission is determined on the basis of individual qualifications and satisfactory performance on all required materials. Ball State's equal opportunity and affirmative action policy is available online.
Prospective graduate students must apply to and meet the admission requirements of both the Graduate School and the appropriate department within the College of Architecture and Planning. Applicants must be accepted by the Graduate School before the individual department can review their application. To expedite the process, students should submit their application materials to the department at the same time they apply to the Graduate School.

Applying to the Graduate School
Ball State's Graduate School requires prospective students to submit a completed university application for graduate admission and one official transcript from each higher education institution you have attended. Applicants must submit these materials to the Graduate School at least four weeks before the term in which they wish to begin graduate study. Submission of application materials after the deadline may defer enrollment to a subsequent term.
You can apply online to the Graduate School, or request a printed graduate application and viewbook by e-mailing gradschool@bsu.edu or calling (765) 285-1297 or (866) 285-GRAD toll free.
NOTE: International students must follow different application procedures.
