Welcome to the website of the College of Architecture and Planning (CAP) at Ball State University.
 
If you are thinking about the possibility of pursuing a career in one of the disciplines housed in our college we hope that this website visit will be only a steppingstone towards a campus tour. If you are a former student of our college we also hope that in the near future you may find the opportunity to come back and join us as we celebrate our collective success. At the CAP we believe in the benefits of life-long learning and therefore we seek to provide a teaching/learning environment that recognizes no limits. We provide orientation programs for potential new students, continuing professional development programs for our former students, and state-of-the-art degree programs for our current students.  With degrees in Architecture, Historic Preservation, Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning, we can address the opportunities and challenges of the built environment from a holistic perspective.
 
Our vision is multidimensional. We are committed to the challenges and opportunities of the State of Indiana, as well as the global market. We attract students and faculty worldwide that work on projects that contribute to building healthy communities at the regional level and showcase best practices that may be replicated around the world. Our students participate in study abroad programs that trigger their imagination as well as internship programs deliberately situated for the pragmatic understanding of the professional environment in which students will be called to perform. We believe in the strength and uniqueness of our disciplines as we profess sincere appreciation for the knowledgebase of other disciplines. We seek to continuously expand our own scholarly domain while we understand and value the domain of our collaborators. We are recognized as leaders and as such we embrace the responsibility of providing leadership.
