Speakers:

a.       Denise Bousman, a flight nurse, talked about her current nursing profession.

b.      Elizabeth Piazza, the Isanogel Camp Manager, talked about Isanogel Summer Camp and possible summer job opportunities for us.  The camp is located off of 332, about 2 miles from Meijer.  If you are interested in applying for a job and/or learning more about the summer camp staff positions, you may call her at (765)288-1073 or email her at epiazza@hillcroft.org.  Carol Keihn also has applications available in her office.  Her email address is ckeihn@bsu.edu.

Announcements:

a.       Isanogel Summer Camp Staff positions available (see above for more info)

b.      Fall Party/Meeting – Tuesday November 13, 2007, 4-7pm

i.        This will consist of bowling/pool at the Student Center for BSNA students and their friends/family. 

ii.      Cost is $5 and includes food, bowling, pool, shoe rental. 

iii.    We will (hopefully) vote for officers at this meeting.

c.       Nominations for the positions of President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.

i.        Those running for office will have their pictures posted on the BSNA Facebook group with a bit of information about each of them.  Please take a look! 

ii.      If you are interested in running for one of these positions and have not already told Carol so, you may email her at ckeihn@bsu.edu.

d.      Food donations for Fall Party?  Someone is looking into this.

e.       Health Fair at Wes-Del High School on October 25, 2007, 8am-4pm

i.        Volunteers are needed to help with this event.

ii.      Please e-mail ckeihn@bsu.edu if you are able to volunteer – your help is greatly appreciated!

f.       Any fundraising ideas???  Please let us know!

g.      National Conference will be held in Texas in March 2008

i.        We hope to defray the cost by having fundraisers

ii.      A fundraising committee is looking into possibilities.  This team consists of Jill Pickett, Katie Brock, Jessica Sallee, and Jennifer Scherer.  Thank you for helping out! 

iii.    If you have any ideas or would like to become more involved with fundraising, please let us know!

h.      Preview Day Saturday November 17, 2007, at Pruis

i.        Volunteers are needed from 7:45-9am to represent BSNA.  Tell prospective BSU students about this organization.

ii.      Email Margaret Beymer if you are interested.  She has a poster that can be used for this event.
