Post Master's Admission Requirements
To be accepted into the masters program, you must apply to Ball State University's Graduate School. You can apply to the Graduate School on-line or download an application at http://www.bsu.edu/gradschool/admissions/. Applicants must meet the requirements of the Graduate School. Each applicant is considered individually for admission to the School of Nursing for the master's program.  To qualify for admission you must:

1.  Be a graduate from a master's nursing program accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

2.  Be a graduate from a baccalaureate nursing program accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

3.  Have a minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale or a GPA of 3.0 in upper-division nursing courses in the baccalaureate and master's programs.

4.  Have a 3.0 GPA from the MS Program.

5.  Have evidence of completion of a physical assessment course (Nurse Practitioner Track and Clinical Nurse Specialist). 

6.  Hold a current license as a registered nurse in the state of practice.

7.  Have submitted to the School of Nursing, a current TB result and Hepatitis B immunization, a signed proof of instruction in Standard Precautions, and a form allowing specified background checks.
