Promotion and Tenure Changes
As you have seen from my forwarded email Dean Jacobsen has made some changes to the instructions for promotion and tenure. In particular, there is a new form that will be completed by the P&T committee for every tenure track faculty member. There is also more detailed information on what information needs to be forwarded to the Dean's office. Please review the paper work and if you have any questions please see Jerrell Cassady (Chair of the Departmental P&T committee), Sharon Paulson, or myself.
Upcoming EDPSY Core Meeting
The Educational Psychology Core is meeting on Wednesday, September 30th to discuss the Ph.D. program. If you have information you would like shared with the core please chat with Kathryn Fletcher (Director of the MA/PhD in EDPSY) or Jerrell Cassady (Chair of the EDPSY Core). EDPSY Core minutes will be shared with the School Psychology Core.
Grant Incentive Program Changes
The Sponsored Programs Office has established Research Incentive Accounts (RIA) for each principal investigator and co-principal investigator named on external grant proposals. These accounts combine funds distributed for the various incentive programs. All existing SUBMIT accounts are be changed over to RIA. Establishment of the RIAs will allow faculty and staff access to and control over expenditure requests and balance inquiries. The key benefit is that expenses will no longer need to be processed or approved through SPO. Please directly charge the individual RIA. Some additional changes include portions of the recovered indirect costs being returned to the principal investigator, co-investigators, departments, and colleges. Earn Some Money for the Department
Working Well is giving faculty/employees and spouses a second chance to complete the Life Health Assessment and earn a $50 visa card. It would be nice if we completed the form and then donated the free money (or at least part of it) to the department for cake or coffee! Each month we spend $50 a month to provide you with these luxuries and we want to keep this up but with the current budget I am afraid we will have to curtail this without your help.
