While studying music at Baylor University, singer/guitarist David Crowder realized that over half of the students were not going to church. Crowder began writing in earnest, “out of necessity” he says, to give voice to this community sharing his journey to know God. The David Crowder* Band was established and released its first album in 2002, “Can You Hear Us?” It’s sophomore album, “Illuminate” and the any the many others that follow have garnered the band critical acclaim and thousands of fans. Despite the success, David Crowder* Band makes it a point to get back to University Baptist Church on most Sundays. Special Guest Connersvine is a duo made up of Hunter Smith and Chris Wilson. Wilson is the creative, artsy type and Smith is a Indianapolis Colts football player. Connersvine fuses their love for a variety of styles with a focus on music as a ministry.
