"A Night on the Town"
This exhibit took a look at evening wear from the 1950's, 1960's and 1970's. It recognized the flowing cocktail dresses from the 50's era, by well known American designer James Galanos and the London designer Victor Stiebel. An Oscar de la Renta 1970's dress showed how the clean crispness of American designers proved to be the practical and feminine fashion leading into the 1980's.
