- MOORE SCHOLARSHIPS: The department plans to award up to five scholarships of $3500, renewable for up to three additional years for a total of $14,000 to each recipient. - EA and EE BURGESS SCHOLARSHIPS: Open to students who will be freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or seniors at the beginning of the school year. Students must be graduates of either, Muncie Central HS or Connersville HS, and pursuing Hospitality and Food Management, Dietetics, or Vocational FCS Education. Minimum GPA of 2.0 (preferably 2.0 - 3.4 range). Amount varies year to year; generally $600. Must demonstrate financial need as determined on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- HELEN J. SNYDER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS: Open to students who will be freshmen, sophomores, juniors or seniors at the beginning of the school year. Preference will be given to HOSPITALITY AND FOOD MANAGEMENT and DIETETICS majors with a financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Amount varies year to year; generally multiple awards $200-700.
- JOYCE RASDALL SCHOLARSHIPS: Open to students who will be freshmen, sophomores, juniors or seniors at the beginning of the school year. Preference will be given to Family and Consumer Sciences Interior Design majors. Amount varies from year to year.
- WARNER FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCES SCHOLARSHIPS: Open to freshmen, sophomores, juniors or seniors at the beginning of the school year. Amount varies year to year; generally multiple awards $300-600.
- RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT (RPM) ADVISORY BOARD MERIT ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP:
For the 2009-10 academic year, one scholarship in the amount of $2500 will be awarded to an incoming freshman. This scholarship is renewable in that amount up to three additional years for a total of $10,000 to the recipient. The recipient of the award will be known as a RPM Advisory Board Merit Scholar. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms must be completed by the University deadline. Check with the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid for the exact date.
Other scholarships available to incoming freshmen – please contact the office of admissions for information. Also note these scholarships will be awarded to students who have declared their major (or minor in the case of the Johnston Family Scholarship) in the department of Family and Consumer Sciences and have received admission to Ball State University by early December of the year prior to their entry to the University.
- AUDREY MALONE FINN SCHOLARSHIPS: For information, contact office of Admissions. Open to incoming freshmen. Preference will be given to Family and Consumer Sciences EDUCATION majors. Amount varies generally $1000-2000. Financial need not a priority consideration. Must be an Indiana State citizen. Entering freshmen may receive the award if they were a member of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA or FHA/HERO) in high school and have a "B" average. Scholarship is renewable.
- JOHNSTON FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP: For Information, contact Office of Admissions. Open to incoming freshmen. Preference is given to:
a. Full-time incoming freshman students entering the Miller College
of Business with an academic index of 3.0 or higher, or transfer
students with a minimum GPA of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
b. Of Miller College of Business students, preference will be
given to those students who are also pursuing a major or
minor in Family and Consumer Sciences.
c. SAT score of 1500 on a scale of 2400, or the equivalent on a similar
exam such as the ACT.
d. Financial need may be considered but is not necessary to receive this
award.
e. Scholarship is renewable for three years thus allowing a total of four
years eligibility provided the student continues to meet the stated
criteria and a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

WARNER FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCES SCHOLARSHIPS: Open to freshmen, sophomores, juniors or seniors at the beginning of the school year. Amount varies year to year; generally multiple awards $300-600.
- MILDRED JOHNSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS: Amount varies year to year; generally $300-600. Must demonstrate financial need as determined by information submitted on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Contact FCS Dept. Committee, (765) 285-5931.
- MILDRED MOORE SCHOLARSHIPS: Amount varies year to year; generally $400-600. Financial need a factor only when all other personal qualifications are approximately equal. Must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Contact FCS Dept. Committee, (765) 285-5931.
