About Community Connection
Community Connection is an IPR original program that tells the story of what nonprofit organizations are doing in your community. Each month we focus on one organization, and what its volunteers and staff are doing to make east central Indiana a better place to live and work. The first episode of the month introduces you to the organization. In the following episodes, we tell their story: what impact they have on your community, how they do what they do, and how you can help.
You can listen to Community Connection on Thursdays at 11 a.m. during Morning Musicale, 5:45 p.m. during All Things Considered or at noon on Saturdays, before The Splendid Table. If you miss any episodes, you can listen online.
Community Connection is collaborative partnership with Shafer Leadership Academy. SLA is the engine that runs the organization selection for the show, using their existing network of nonprofit organizations that utilize the CONVERGE volunteer fair and website.
This program is made possible by the support of The Community Foundation of Muncie & Delaware County.
