In today’s economic climate,
going green is quickly becoming the fiscally and environmentally responsible way to live.

American families are making an effort to reduce their carbon footprint by taking small steps: using less plastic bags at the grocery store, growing their own gardens, and monitoring how much energy they use. Some are also dedicating themselves to cleaning up and preserving our outdoor space and the world that we live in.

The Indiana Public Radio news team is collaborating with students in Ball State University’s Radio/Web Immersion class to bring you a series of stories on living and going green, just in time for Earth Day 2009.
