Thousands visit Anderson for week one of Colts training camp

The city of Anderson says its seen thousands of people come to watch the Indianapolis Colts at training camp in its first week. City spokeswoman Tammy Bowman says forty thousand people came to watch the team train at Anderson University. Diana Graves with the Anderson/Madison County Visitor’s Bureau says it isn’t just Hoosiers coming to see the Colts train.
One out-of-state guest this weekend was NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who visited seven NFL training camps throughout the US. The forty thousand attendees far surpass the twenty-two thousand people who visited Colts camp last year for its two-week run in Terre Haute.
