(CARMEL) – CARMEL MAYOR JIM BRAINARD IS ONE OF 30 MAYORS FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY THAT WILL MEET WITH CONGRESSIONAL LEADERS THIS WEEK TO DISCUSS PROPOSED CUTS IN THE FISCAL YEAR 2011 BUDGET. ONE OF THE LINE ITEMS TO BE CUT IS THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM. BRAINARD SAYS THE MAYORS WILL STRESS THE IMPORTANT HELP THE C-D-B-G PROGRAM PROVIDES TO LOCAL COMMUNITIES FOR JOB CREATION AND NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION.
