…OPPRESSIVE HEAT AND HUMIDITY WILL AFFECT THE AREA BEGINNING
SUNDAY INTO THE COMING WORKWEEK…

.HIGH PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO STRENGTHEN ACROSS THE CENTRAL
PLAINS AND MID MISSISSIPPI VALLEY THIS WEEKEND. THIS WILL ALLOW A
VERY HOT AND HUMID AIRMASS TO AFFECT THE REGION…ESPECIALLY BY
THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK. HEAT INDICIES WILL APPROACH 100 DEGREES ON
SUNDAY WITH EVEN HOTTER CONDITIONS LATER IN THE WEEK. A COMPLEX OF
THUNDERSTORMS MAY SUPPORT SLIGHTLY COOLER CONDITIONS INTO THE
AREA MONDAY. HOWEVER…THERE IS A HIGH LIKELIHOOD OF SEVERAL DAYS
OF DANGEROUS HEAT AND HUMIDITY…WHICH WOULD POSE AN INCREASED

NOON EDT /11 AM CDT/ TO 10 PM EDT /9 PM CDT/ SUNDAY.

* HEAT INDICIES WILL BE AROUND 100 DEGREES ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON.
HEAT INDICIES OF 105 OR HIGHER ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE END OF
NEXT WEEK.

* IMPACTS INCLUDE POSSIBLE HEAT EXHAUSTION..HEAT ILLNESS…HEAT
STROKE.
