StateImpact Indiana: BSU Charter Schools

The organizations charged with overseeing Indiana charter schools have closed only five schools in the state’s history.  This year, Ball State University officials could shutter as many as nine — nearly a quarter of the schools they authorize.  Seven of those schools recently announced they’ll appeal the decision.  As StateImpact Indiana’s Kyle Stokes reports, what Ball State calls a necessary move comes at an unfortunate time for one Gary charter school.
