The company that provides Indiana’s online ISTEP exams will double the capacity of its online systems before students take their tests next year. CTB/McGraw-Hill president Ellen Haley told the State Board of Education today (WED) the company was taking steps to ensure 2014’s tests will not be interrupted.
Problems with CTB’s servers disrupted at least 79-thousand Indiana students’ exams at the end of April. It prompted the statewide suspension of testing for two straight days. Two weeks ago, an independent testing expert concluded that most students’ test performance did not suffer because of the disruptions.
