Yesterday, Indiana state schools superintendent Glenda Ritz confirmed what the whole state had expected for a week – that her predecessor Tony Bennett and his staff had manipulated the school grading system to benefit certain schools. This is the first of several reviews called for on the 2012 school grades. But even before Bennett’s changes were made public, state lawmakers had called for a rewrite of the system.
