National report says Indiana farmers could have lost less crops last year

After last year’s devastating drought, the federal government paid Indiana farmers collectively more than a billion dollars to cover crop losses.  A new report authored by the Natural Resources Defense Council suggests that some of those losses could have been avoided.  Indiana Public Broadcasting’s Brandon Smith reports on whether the council’s suggestions would have made any difference to Indiana crop yields.
