Christopher Bateson
Production Manager
Christopher Bateson joined the IPR team as production manager in April of 2012. Born and raised in Michigan, he graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor’s in Music Technology along with a minor in Digital Media. From a young age Chris was involved with music, but it wasn’t until college that he discovered a love for behind-the-scenes production work. Having discovered this love, Chris sought employment with IPR previously as one of the initial recording engineers for IPR’s “The Scene,” and later became the lead producer of the show. Now, as production manager, Chris maintains the ENCO automation system and aids in the production of all shows produced locally at the IPR studios to ensure the high-quality material our listeners expect. When Chris is not working he enjoys performing in musical theater and opera productions and even performed in an International Barbershop Collegiate Quartet competition.
