Senior Producer, All Things Considered host
Stephanie’s love for radio started while competing for her high school’s speech team in Minooka, Illinois. She became a full-fledged public radio nerd when she hosted and produced several public affairs shows for her college radio station and spent time as a 2006 summer news intern at WFAE – the Charlotte, NC NPR station. In 2007, Stephanie graduated cum laude from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia with a B.A. in Print Journalism and a concentration in Public Speaking.
Stephanie joined the IPR staff in November of 2007. She is the afternoon news voice, hosting All Things Considered and reporting from IPR’s 22 counties. She loves getting to know the area by tracking down good stories.
Stephanie is a member of Muncie Young Professionals, the Ball State University Freshman Common Reader Book Selection Committee, and the Ball State Safe Zone community. She is also a virtual career coach for high school students around her Illinois hometown through Joliet Junior College. When not on-air, she can usually be found browsing the stacks at the local libraries.
