Ball State University will use more than $2 million from its Ball State Bold campaign to fund 55 scholarships for Honors College students. Ball State President JoAnn Gora made the announcement at the Indianapolis Statehouse this morning, joined by scholarship students and ranking members of the Indiana General Assembly. Indiana Senate President Pro Tem David Long told scholarship winners that Ball State will prepare them for the future.

They can then renew those scholarships each year for four years. That way, each student will receive $40,000 towards a college education. Gora says most of the scholarship students are Indiana residents. But some come from as far away as Arizona and Maryland.
