The city of Bedford in south central Indiana was one of the state’s hardest hit in a violent round of storms that swept the state last night. WFIU’s Sara Wittmeyer was in Bedford, and says residents saw a tornado form and pass over Route 50. Resident Vicki Lee says she watched the tornado crash through her neighbor’s house.
A National Weather Service storm survey team confirmed today a strong EF-2 tornado hit the city last night. State police say at least 12 people were treated last night at hospitals for their injuries.
