The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles has released a new mobile phone app that officials say is intended to shorten lines at BMV branches. Commissioner R. Scott Waddell says Hoosiers can renew vehicle registrations and license plates from the phone app. There’s also a branch locator – which can locate the nearest BMV branch and give hours of operation. Waddell also says the app meets security requirements and transactions involving money made by the phone app will be secure. Officials say the app is compatible with both Apple and Android phones… and can be downloaded at no charge from links at the myBMV.com website.
