Groups asking state for surplus dollars

The state of Indiana has a $2 billion budget surplus going into next year. Part of that money is being returned to the taxpayers through an automatic taxpayer refund. Another piece has already been allocated to state employee pension funds. But as Indiana Public Broadcasting’s Gretchen Frazee reports, groups from around the state are already clamoring to request the rest.
