Muncie’s Hotel Roberts has been sold to Farmer’s Bank — the bank that originally foreclosed the 1920′s building. The Frankfort bank had the highest winning bid, buying the hotel for $850,000. Bank senior vice president Randy Snyder said the bank will likely re-sell Hotel Roberts to a developer.
The building was open to the public the day before the auction, and IPR’s Stephanie Wiechmann took a look inside.
