Red Gold turning former Elwood school into company headquarters

The Red Gold company is headed back to school in Elwood, Indiana. The company announced today it will turn the former Oakwood Elementary School into its new corporate headquarters. Red Gold President Brian Reichart says the company will spend $3.5 million turning the former school into office space for 200 employees. Red Gold is the largest privately held tomato manufacturer in the country. Currently headquartered in Orestes, it has plants and distribution centers in Elwood, Geneva, and near Alexandria.
