Inside the Pendleton Juvenile Correctional
Facility
(5/5/09) -- This week on All Things Considered, student reporter
Kim Rasmussen takes us inside the Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility.
Sitting just outside of Pendleton, Indiana across from the adult prison,
the facilities is a maximum security prison for 12 to 21-year-old offenders.
Last year, three hundred kids a day called this prison home.
Monday – General Population
Tuesday – PLUS Program
Wednesday – GROW Program
Thursday – Intensive Treatment Unit
Friday – Future Soldier Program
Kim Rasmussen, a native of Westmont, Illinois, is
a telecommunications news option major at Ball State University.
