Ball State University offers four-year bachelor's degrees in music with majors in the following areas:
Study at the major level is available in all symphonic instruments, piano, organ, voice, and guitar. Music minors are also offered in performance, music history, church music, and jazz studies.
With a student-to-professor ratio of better than 10 to 1, our undergraduate programs in music provide significant personal and professional attention for each student. In addition to course work, students pursuing a major or minor in music are expected to attend weekly recitals and to perform. They also participate in School of Music ensembles as designated by the faculty and required by the curricula.
Our bachelor's degree programs are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. Learn more about these programs by following the links to the right or by contacting Dr. Jill Burleson, Coordinator of Undergraduate Admissions in Music.
