Members of Ball State University Singers will sing the National Anthem for the Indiana House of Representatives at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 17.  The short performance will be in addition to the usual pledge and prayer that opens each legislative day. 

"State Representative Tiny Adams was instrumental in securing this invitation, which was issued by the office of Speaker of the House Brian Bosma," said Jeffrey Carter, director of University Singers. "We'll visit Tiny's office for a brief sing after our National Anthem performance."

University Singers consists of 20 singers/dancers and 11 band members and has earned recognition as one of the nation's top collegiate entertainment organizations. The group has performed throughout the U.S. and in dozens of countries since forming in 1964. Designated as Indiana's Official Goodwill Ambassadors, the Singers have also appeared on recordings, radio and television.
