The estate of Dr. Herbert H. Hamilton has funded a scholarship to assist Ball State political science master's students to continue their education in law school.
The funds are to be used for tuition, fees and books or related educational supplies.
Hamilton earned a degree from Ball State's Teachers College. He continued his education at Indiana University where he earned a master's degree in law and doctoral degree in government.
Following his education, Hamilton taught in West Middleton and served as the assistant principal of Burris Laboratory School. He retired in 1976 from Ball State after teaching political science for 40 years.
