Robert Pritchard
It is common to see him preparing for classes in the early morning and then after 9 p.m. at a meeting of the student chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). A few nights later he leaves late after a meeting of Cardinal Communications, the student public relations and advertising agency that he advises. Both organizations provide students with a distinct advantage when they interview for competitive internships and the best entry-level jobs.
Recently he was selected as the outstanding PRSSA adviser in the nation. A Ball State student wrote, "He is a mentor and role model for all of us. His leadership and his teaching style guide us while allowing us the freedom we need to learn the business."
Although he consistently earns such stellar evaluations from students, Pritchard also enjoys a reputation as an emerging scholar. In a short period of time he has had nine refereed papers accepted for conference presentation, and he has written five book chapters. In addition, he has directed 17 graduate student theses and served on another 13 committees. He also holds two national leadership positions in his field.
For these reasons and more, he has been selected as a Fellow by the Public Relations Society of America.
