Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology hosts book fair April 2-4 (3/29/2007)
Ball State's Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology will host a scholastic book fair from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 2-4 in the Arts and Communications Building, room 108, located inside the Speech and Language Clinic.

The book fair - which is open to the public - will feature story readings from members of Ball State's football team and a build-a-book center where children can create their own story using blank books and art supplies.

Ball State football players John Purdy, Wendell Brown, Marcus McClure and Mike Dorulla will read selections from children's books at 4 p.m. April 3. Other players will read the following day at the same time. Children and their families are invited to listen to the readings and pose for pictures with the players afterwards.

All proceeds of the beach-themed book fair will benefit Ball State's Speech and Language Clinic's Literacy Library.

Specially priced books and educational products, including new releases, award-winning titles, children's classics, interactive software and current bestsellers from more than 150 publishers will be available.

For more information, contact Cara Bearman, graduate assistant in the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology, at clbearman@bsu.edu or (765) 285-8161.
