The Counseling Center, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and the Department of Nursing will sponsor several events April 2-4 to increase awareness about suicide.
At 5 p.m. April 2 and 12:30 p.m. April 3 in the Art and Journalism Building, room 175, videos will be shown followed by a discussion about suicide. At 5 p.m. April 3 in the Atrium Studio, Chris Bowman of NAMI Indiana will discuss his experience of depression.
A panel discussion examining suicide and diversity will take place at 5 p.m. April 4 in the Art and Journalism Building, room 175.
Depression screenings will be offered in the Atrium all three days. In addition the "Wall of Healing" will be in the Atrium for students to post their feelings about suicide.
