Cosby began his career performing live standup comedy. And on Feb. 15, he returns to his roots by performing on stage at Ball State University's Emens Auditorium.
The comic genius and impeccable storytelling that only Cosby can deliver will pack the auditorium for two shows, said Robert Myers, director of Emens Auditorium.
Even with more than 30 years of entertainment experience, Cosby still relishes connecting with audiences like he did when he began cracking jokes from makeshift stages made from bar tables.
"I feel that contact with people is the most important thing in comedy. While I'm up on stage, I can actually put myself into the audience and adjust my pace and timing to them," Cosby said. "I can get into their heads through their ears and through their eyes. Only through this total communication can I really achieve what I am trying to do."
Cosby will perform two shows at 6 and 9 p.m. Only single seats remain for the first show, and there are only a few hundred tickets left for the second.
Tickets are available 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Emens Auditorium Box Office, Monday through Friday and two hours before the show and at all Ticketmaster locations, at ticketmaster.com or charge-by-phone at (765) 644-3131. The box office can be reached at (765) 285-1539, toll free at (877) 99-EMENS or at www.bsu.edu/emens.
