All undergraduate majors must complete a common core requirement to prepare students for a wide range of employment opportunities in governmental and non-governmental organizations.
University Core Curriculum, major requirements, and electives (some courses can double count: e.g. NREM 101, CHEM 111, BIO 111) are required to complete your degree. You may choose one of the six options for your degree.

- Land Management
- Natural Resource Studies
- Occupational/Industrial Hygiene
- Park and Recreation Management
Students are encouraged to participate in internships under the supervision of faculty members and professionals working in private consulting firms, governmental agencies, or environmental organizations, etc.
