MINOR IN ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH (19-20 hours)This program is designed to expand the educational and employment opportunities of students in several majors, most notably Health Science and Natural Resources and Environmental Management (particularly in the Occupational and Industrial Hygiene and Environmental Protection options). Several other programs are also strongly complemented by this minor, e.g. the existing majors in Biology and Consumer & Family Sciences and minors in Public Health and Environmental Management. Persons successfully completing a minor in Environmental Health would be well-suited to entry-level positions in the environmental health area of local health departments; experience would then allow more rapid upward mobility into positions in state health departments and private industry.
If you register for a course but have not successfully completed its prerequisite, you will be dropped from the class.
