BSU Fit offers many trained instructors who teach a variety of fitness classes for all levels of fitness. We offer over 50 classes each week during the school year. Some of those include Cycling, Pilates, Zumba, PIYO, and strength training. These classes are offered year round and will challenge the fitness levels of all participants.

Fitness Class Policies
To attend a fitness class, you must be a current BSU affiliate and purchase a fitness pass.
Participants are encouraged to arrive at least 10 minutes early to the following class due to equipment usage: Cycle, Bootcamp, Total Body Tone, and Step classes.

All About Arms
Just like the name says, this class focuses on arm strength and toning. This class will lengthen muscles in order to create a sleek and toned upper body.
A class designed to get you splashin' in the pool with fun, safe, and effective water exercises for all ages and fitness levels! This class will get your heart pumping, while strengthening and sculpting your muscles. Instructors will provide a combination of cardiovascular and strength exercises in the deep and shallow water using flotation belts, dumbells, kickboards, noodles, and more.
This class is also great for those with joint problems or injuries because the water helps reduce impact to the joints while still providing resistance. The bonus of water exercise is low to no impact or stress on the body.
Aqua Zumba TM
Known as the Zumba “pool party”, the Aqua Zumba program gives new meaning to the idea of an invigorating workout. Integrating the Zumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, the Aqua Zumba class blends it all together into a safe and challenging workout that’s cardio-conditioning and body-toning.
If you like workouts that are constantly varied and intense, then Bootcamp is the class for you! This high-energy class is guaranteed to boost your workout to new heights. Bootcamp will work to improve your cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, and muscular strength all at the same time.
Every exercise conducted in this class utilizes the BOSU Balance Trainer. The BOSU Balance Trainer has both round and flat sides that allow for added versatility and challenge to an incredible range of activities: cardio, strength training, athletic and sport conditioning, core training, and mind/body workouts.
Alternating cardio drills and intervals with strength training gives maximal cardio-respiratory and strengthening effectiveness all in one.
A challenging, multi-terrain ride using many different training drills for speed, strength, and endurance. This class is designed to create muscle tone and strength in the legs while also improving heart and lung function.
This class consists of 45 minutes of cycling and 15 minutes of an abdominal workout, making your cardio stronger and your core rock hard.
An intense toning class designed specifically for defining the abdominal and lower back muscles. Feel the burn as you use resistance bands, hand weights, and your own body weight to shape and fine tune your powerhouse.
A mat based technique for developing the musculature and body awareness. Pilates focuses on isolating and strengthening the muscles of the torso with particular attention to all of the abdominal muscles, including the deep ones. Pilates will help you identify where you have muscular and strong upper and lower back while teaching you to breathe deeply and hold yourself in good posture at all times.
Piloxing uniquely mixes Pilates and boxing moves into a calorie blasting, muscle toning, core-centric interval workout, guaranteed to whip you into shape. The power, speed, and agility of boxing is blended with the beautiful sculpting and flexibility of Pilates along with the fun and sexy dance moves that reflect sensuality in every woman. SLEEK SEXY POWERFUL
This is a unique class designed to build strength and gain flexibility. The moves fit perfectly together to form a class that is fun, challenging, and will make you sweat. Get ready for energy, power, and rhythm!
Step combines aerobic exercises and dance movements that are performed in a choreographed routine by stepping onto an adjustable platform for diverse levels of intensity. Individual moves are introduced then added together to progressively build combinations that travel vertically, horizontally, and diagonally. The instructor will show you high and low intensity options to keep you sweating and smiling.
Total Body Tone
A non-aerobic total body strength training session using the body bars, BOSU, hand weights, Iron-Grip barbells, weight plates, resist-a-balls, resistance tubes, and more. Whether you're new to toning or have been doing it for years, this class is for you.
Created in 1997 by Charlene Johnson, Turbo Kick is the hottest kickboxing class around! This program is featured at over 20,000 different health clubs and fitness chains in the US and countries across the globe. TurboKick is the ultimate cardiovascular challenge that includes sport specific warm-up, bouts of intense intervals, kickboxing, and specific strength and endurance training.
Yoga is built on three main structures: exercise, breathing, and meditation. This class focuses on nourishing your mind, body, and spirit while leaving you feeling energized and uplifted.
Zumba Fitness is inspired by traditional salsa, samba, and meringue music. It has become one of the fastest-growing, dance-based fitness crazes in the country with people of all ages falling in love with its infectious music, easy-to-follow dance moves and body-beautifying benefits.

BSU Fit Graduate Assistant
A 5 class pass lets you attend any 5 fitness classes of your choice for that semester. A 10 and 20 class pass lets you attend 10 and 20 fitness classes of your choice for that semester. An unlimited semester pass gives you the opportunity to attend as many classes as you wish for that semester, while an unlimited academic pass is good for the fall/spring semesters. Summer passes are good for the summer only!

If you prefer to pay with a credit or debit card, please fill out the registration and pay online, but if you wish to pay with cash or check or payroll deduction, please fill out the registration online and pay the fee at the main office. Participants will need to pick up their passes at Office of Recreation.
Faculty/Staff who are benefit eligible can purchase unlimited semester or academic year passes for themselves or spouses/partners via payroll deduction.
Students employed on campus (grad students, grad assistant and undergrads) are not eligible for payroll deduction.
The only times Recreation Services will issue refunds are for the following:
-Recreation Services cancels the class due to lack of enrollment
-Participants relocate from the university
-Participants have a documented medical issue that prevents them from participating
