Recreation Guidelines & Rules
If you have questions please contact us at email@example.com or call 765-285-1753 during regular business hours
Use of recreation facilities, programs and services is a privilege. Valid university or personal identification is required of all students, staff, and valid Recreation Privilege Card holders for use in all facilities. Fraudulent use of university identification to gain access into recreation facilities or programs may result in loss of all facility and program privileges.
Harassment of university students, faculty, staff, guests or employees, disruption of activities, misuse of equipment, endangerment of others or willful destruction of property will result in loss of privileges and the possibility of disciplinary actions (see Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities).
Children age 14 and under MUST be supervised by a parent or guardian when using any recreation facilities. Children age 14 and under may NOT use any fitness room, even if accompanied by a parent.
Informal Basketball Court Policy: The Office of Recreation Services suggests the following for informal play: Courts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis (regardless of sport). Players lose their rights to "winners" if they participate in another game. All full-court games are played to 12 points, win by one. Five-on-five basketball games have priority over all other basketball activities and inappropriate behavior may result in player(s) loss of privileges.
Racquetball Courts: Protective eyewear is highly recommended in order to reduce the chance of eye injuries.
Know your limitations! Before taking advantage of any of the opportunities we offer, we urge you to consult a physician regarding your ability to participate in activities and programs offered. The university assumes all participants have verified their own health and fitness requirements, have and hold proper medical insurance and realize they are at risk to items inherent to participation in recreational activities.
Lost items, if found or turned into a Recreation Services staff member, will be taken to the Ball Gym or Rec Center equipment rooms. Items not claimed in a timely manner are donated to a local charity. If a theft occurs, please contact the closest BSU Recreation Services employee. The Office of Recreation Services requests that anyone having a theft from recreation facilities immediately report the theft to University Police.
