Intramural Sports
Intramural Sports are for Ball State students, faculty, staff, and alumni with valid Ball State identification cards looking to play competitive sports against others on campus. We offer singles, doubles and team tournaments and leagues throughout each semester.

Participant Guidelines
All participants, captains, coaches and spectators are expected to understand these guidelines. Please reference these at any time in case of questions or concerns.

Registration Process
1. Sign up for IM LEAGUES or LOGIN to IM Leagues.
2. Click on the Ball State University button on the top tool bar.
3. Scroll down to view the sport you want to sign up a team for.
4. Click on the BLUE FONT word of the sport or event you want to play in.
5. Read the league description to learn where games are played, what times they are scheduled, and what the league format and rules are.
6. Scroll down and click on the Create Team button just above the list of teams on the right hand side.
7. If necessary you will be prompted to the rules quiz, if so take the rules quiz, then fill out your team information.
8. After submission you will be viewing your team home page, click on the link shown in PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS or copy it into your browser.
9. Fill out this online information form, be sure to select the bullet beside the sport/league that you want to play in (note: different leagues have different prices, make sure you’ve selected the correct one).
10. Select your payment method. Credit cards will be processed immediately. Cash and Check payments must be delivered to the front office of the SRWC, RM 201. All payments must be delivered before deadline day (Wednesdays unless otherwise noted) by 6pm.
11. Once you have paid, please allow our office 24hrs to move your team off of the waiting list and into the chosen league. Team rosters can still be managed while on the “waitlist”.
ALL INTRAMURAL PARTICIPANTS MUST CREATE AN ACCOUNT ON IM LEAGUES! Team captains are responsible for ensuring their teammates sign up on their team roster. Teammates who do not show up on the IM Leagues Team Roster, will NOT be permitted to play in the playoffs of a league.
Team Captains are also responsible for completing and scoring an 80% on a Captains Quiz for certain sports. These quizzes must be completed in order for a team to compete in the playoffs or a tournament.
Participants must present their active BSU ID or active Recreation Priviledge Card to participate.

What if I don’t have a team?
1. Sign up for IM LEAGUES or LOGIN to IM Leagues.

3. Scroll down to view the sport you want to sign up a team for.
4. Click on the BLUE FONT word of the sport or event you want to play in.
5. Read the league description to learn where games are played, what times they are scheduled, and what the league format and rules are.
6. Scroll down and click on the Join As Free Agent button just above the list of teams on the right hand side.
7. Fill out the information and include contact information so that captains can reach you if they would like to add you to their team.
8. Payment for your participation can be discussed with your team captain, since the team you join probably already paid to participate. -

A fraternity will earn five points for every team that is submitted to any sport. The registration must be completed and the team must complete the season with less than two forfeits for any league and less than one forfeit for a tournament. All points will be updated by 5:30 each Monday afternoon.
