Outdoor Pursuits Rental Center
Going outside and having fun sometimes requires a lot of expensive, specialized gear. With the opening of the BSU Outdoor Rental Center BSU students, faculty, staff and the community have access to the equipment required for outings like backpacking, camping, canoeing, biking, and fly fishing. We'll provide the gear to get you there AND go easy on your wallet! All you have to provide is the desire to experience the outdoors!

Rental Center FAQs
When is the Rental Center open?
The Outdoor Pursuits Rental Center is open Monday through Friday from 9:00am - 6:00pm (during the school year) and Monday through Friday from 10:00am - 6:00pm during the summer.
Can anybody rent equipment from the Rental Center?
Yes, students, staff, and community members can rent items from the Rental Center.
How long can I keep my rental equipment?
Daily rentals are due back by 6:00pm the day following the rental. Weekend rentals may be picked up on Friday, and weekend rentals are due back by 6:00pm on Monday.
Where can I go near Muncie to mountain bike? Canoe? Kayak? Backback?
The Rental Center has a resource center with software, maps, books, and a knowledgeable staff that can assist one in planning an upcoming trip.
Where can I park to pick up or drop off my rental equipment form the Rental Center?
If you are picking up or dropping off gear at the Rental Center you are welcome to pull your car up to the garage door located in the back of the Rental Center. Do NOT park in the cul-de-sac area adjacent to the East Entrance of the SRWC near the climbing wall. You WILL get ticketed and Outdoor Pursuits is NOT responsible for parking tickets.
