In practicum, you will apply your knowledge of psychological theory and ethical principles to practice and have opportunities to attain competencies in such areas as:

• Observation
• Evaluating individual clients with varying educational needs
• Recommending, planning, and evaluating interventions
• Individual and group counseling, tutoring, and behavior management
• Social skills training
• Consultation with teachers, parents, and other professionals
• Evaluation and research in a variety of settings such as public schools, the School Psychology Clinic, and other clinics and agencies

You'll have opportunities for practicum experiences at schools and clinics on the Ball State campus and in Muncie. Some practicum sites have included:

• Ball State Diagnostic Learning Center 
• School Psychology Clinic
• Burris Laboratory School 
• Liberty Perry Community School Corporation--Selma Elementary
