Chemistry department classrooms and specialized research laboratories are in the Physical Science building in the Cooper Science Complex. The department has a variety of modern scientific equipment, which students are encouraged to use.
Ball State offers excellent library facilities and several computer centers. The Chemistry Department has a new computer lab and several newly remodeled teaching and research laboratories.

The Chemistry Department also houses a variety of computer workstations for student use. These workstations are equipped with a wide variety of chemistry related software packages.
