Our major option for undergraduate writers is a 48-hour B.A. in English/Creative Writing with a wide range of courses in literature, fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction, as well as a multi-genre introductory class, screenplay writing, and a variety of special topics.
We also offer a 27-hour minor in Creative Writing designed to contribute to our students' liberal and professional education by fostering creative thinking and effective writing. The advanced level Writers in the Community and Literary Editing classes give our students the opportunity to bring their writing skills outside the classroom and into the wider world of both community service and publishing.
