Freshman Convocation
Faculty in full academic regalia welcomed thousands of students to campus Sunday, Aug. 24 during the Freshman Convocation. The speaker for the event was Randall Pond, a Ball State alumnus who is executive vice president of operations, process and systems at Cisco Systems Inc., a leading supplier of network equipment for the Internet.  

Michael Gibson
Michael Gibson, research fellow for the university's Institute for Digital Fabrication, recently led a group of students in the creation of a new building prototype through a partnership with New Castle-based Ferrell & Barker, an architectural design and construction management firm. LEARN MORE

Ball State-Brazil exchange to study sustainability
Funds from U.S. and Brazilian grants will cover stipends for up to 40 students and eight faculty members to participate in exchanges between partners Ball State and Texas A&M and participating Brazilian universities. Participants will examine environmental, social and economic issues. FULL STORY
