Senior models participate in a Nov. 7 fashion show organized by Ball State students in family and consumer science instructor Audrey Robbins' fashion promotions class. The style show was held at Muncie's Cornerstone Center for the Arts. Telecommunications students also participated in the project, conducting a question-and-answer session with participants and creating a video shown during the event.
Innovator of the year adds VP title Phil Repp, recognized by Campus Technology magazine as one of its 2008 innovators of the year for the development of Ball State's Digital Corps, has been appointed vice president for information technology at the university. As such, he will be an even more prominent figure in Ball State's recently announced Emerging Media Initiative that seeks to invest more than $17 million in developing human capital for an important and growing segment of Indiana's economy. President Jo Ann M. Gora joins students enjoying karamu, the feast of Kwanzaa, during a Dec. 4 gathering in honor of the celebration based on African festivals. The event was held in Park Hall and sponsored by the Multicutural Center and Multicultural Advisors. It featured a performance by Rhythms Dance Troupe. Kwanzaa is observed internationally from Dec. 26 to Jan. 1.
