Students contribute in painting a 20-by-20 foot dove mural as part of the university's Paint 4 Peace event on April 2, which encouraged nonviolence through art. More than 600 people participated in painting the dove, which will remain on the pavement between Bracken Library and University Theatre through July.

Sociologist Melinda Messineo has earned the 2009 John F. Schnabel Distinguished Contributions to Teaching Award from the North Central Sociological Association. FULL STORY
