Saying Ball State has given Indiana a "lasting competitive advantage" in terms of emerging media and other advanced communications, a statewide advocacy group representing Indiana's technology sector selects Ball State's president as its latest champion of high-tech innovation and investment. Dr. Otis Bowen, former Indiana governor, gives the keynote speech at the 28th annual Bowen Institute on Political Participation, which provides an opportunity for people to better understand the political system. The event was held April 18-19 at the legal offices of Barnes & Thornburg LLP in Indianapolis. Standing behind Bowen is Sally Jo Vasicko, co-director of the Bowen Center for Public Affairs.
