Earth Week 2008

Monday, April 21, 7:30 PM: Keynote address from the Children and Nature Network President, Dr. Cheryl Charles. She will be speaking about "The Ecology of Hope" and what this means for promoting outdoor education programs at the local level. This organization is charged with promoting the message of with Richard Louv's book, Last Child in the Woods: Saving our Children from Nature Deficit Disorder.

The newest edition of this book would also be available for purchase.
Welcoming reception at 7:00, in the lecture hall of the Atrium, AJ 175.

Tuesday, April 22: Earth Day on the Green, 10:00 am until 3:00 pm on the University Green.

There will be a rock wall
Various interactive activities like geocaching and a playing a recycling game
Great Cats of Indiana, a popular past presenter, will be bringing some rescued felines.
Activities for Project WET and Project WILD
COTE awards will be held at 12:00 pm on the green.

Thursday, April 24: Tree planting with Muncie-Delaware Clean and Beautiful

Heekin Park.
9:00 until 4:00 pm
